The awards acknowledge the achievements of innovative people and companies across Nottinghamshire who are boosting the economy and making a positive difference to the local community.
The Partnership of the Year category recognises partnerships focused around the joint work of two or more organisations that have improved a service and/or added value to the outcomes for local communities. We won on the basis of our partnership with Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who we have collaborated with for the past two years on initiatives including free weekly legal clinics for members of the public as well as fundraising campaigns to raise money for the charity to continue providing support and companionship to elderly and vulnerable people in the county.
Maggie Ross MBE, Fundraising Director at Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire said:
“Rothera Bray Solicitors continually commit to the age agenda, supporting Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as one of their charities of choice. Taking part in our legal surgeries, Rothera Bray offer professional, attentive and engaging legal advice and support to our older service users within the City and County along with offering a free will writing service.
“They are also fully committed to finding new ways to support and promote the work of our charity and worked in sponsorship of our Trees of Life Campaign in which with their help we were able to plant over 1000 trees and have been extremely instrumental in the launch of our new campaign ‘The Star Project’ providing us with continual help and support in the form of excellent ideas and sponsoring our launch event.”
The firm was also thrilled to be a finalist in the Professional Services category which recognises companies that show demonstrable strengths in service excellence, business growth, innovation, technology, training and personal development. We nominated the firm for this award due to the success of our legal clinics as well as the investment the firm is making in the personal development of staff and the use of technology to make processes more efficient for clients and employees.
Rothera Bray Head of Marketing Jo Walchester said:
“Winning this award is a very special moment for our firm and the relationship we have with Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. For the past two years we have collaborated and brought together our ideas and skillsets to create some amazing innovative campaigns that have been beneficial for both of our organisations, but most importantly for the communities we work with.
“It’s really rewarding to have our efforts recognised at this level and alongside some amazing businesses in Nottingham and it’s made us more enthusiastic than ever to continue this work.”
