Committed to furthering the safety of the people of Nottingham

Our serious personal injury team are supporting survivors of the Nottingham attacks – Wayne Birkett and Sharon Miller. We represented them in the judge-led public inquiry that began in 2025 and ended in 2026.

It follows the events of 13 June 2023, when three people were fatally stabbed and three others had a van driven into them intentionally, causing life-changing injuries.

Below is a timeline of Rothera Bray’s involvement with the survivors and their families.

The best thing about Ian was that he was realistic all the way through my case and I really appreciated him not sugar coating any of his answers. I’ve chosen to stay in touch with him and would like to show him how well I’ve developed since I last saw him, because it’s down to him and the other specialists he put me in touch with, that I’ve gotten this far already.
- Mr Mistry

Ian not only explained everything in really simple terms, but when required was able to explain the more complex parts of the process. Because Ian had suffered his own head injury, I really got the sense that he knew exactly what I was going through and that he was fighting my corner.
- Mr Dewar

All the way through my case Ian was very informative and I really liked that I stayed with the same solicitor, without having to speak to anyone else and explain things again.
