Our Personal Injury team have been shortlisted in four categories at the 2026 Personal Injury Awards

It’s a fantastic achievement for our Serious Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team to be shortlisted in four categories at the 2026 National Personal Injury Awards, reflecting the expertise and outstanding work of the team and its lawyers.

The shortlist highlights the expertise and dedication of our lawyers across a range of complex and life-changing cases, as well as the team’s commitment to supporting clients through some of the most challenging circumstances they face.

Individual and team recognition

Three members of the team have been named finalists in the following categories:

  • Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year – Greg Almond
  • Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year – Ian Johnson

In addition, the team has been shortlisted for Clinical Negligence Team of the Year, reflecting its work on complex and high-profile clinical negligence matters.

Over the past year, the team has continued to act for clients in significant cases of national importance, including matters connected to the Ockenden Maternity Review, as well as representing families affected by the Nottingham Attacks in the ongoing public inquiry process.

Supporting clients through complex cases

The shortlist recognises not only successful legal outcomes, but also the team’s commitment to helping clients secure answers, accountability and support following serious injury, medical negligence and fatal incidents.

Greg Almond, Partner and Head of Serious Personal Injury, said:

“It is a real honour to be shortlisted in the Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year category and to see so many members of the team recognised. Every day we work with clients and families who are facing incredibly difficult circumstances, and we are committed to helping them obtain the support, rehabilitation and answers they need. Being shortlisted across four categories is a testament to the dedication, expertise and compassion of the whole team.”

Consultant Julie Walker, added:

“I am delighted to be named a finalist alongside such respected practitioners within the sector. This recognition reflects the hard work of our entire team and our shared commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. We are privileged to support people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives, and it is rewarding to see that work recognised nationally.”

Giving back to the community

Alongside its legal work, the team remains committed to supporting local charities and community initiatives. This year, Greg completed the 2026 London Marathon in aid of Headway Nottingham, while members of the team also took part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise funds for Forever Stars.

The winners of the 2026 Personal Injury Awards will be announced at a ceremony taking place at the Manchester Deansgate Hotel on 26 November 2026.
