Managing Associate
Sally Jahangir is a Managing Associate in Rothera Bray’s Private Client team and is based at our Lace Market, Nottingham office.

Sally is sympathetic and understanding in her approach, taking time to listen carefully to clients and fully understand their circumstances and needs. She recognises that clients often seek advice during particularly difficult periods and is committed to providing clear, supportive guidance, helping matters progress as smoothly as possible.
Sally advises on the administration of estates and has extensive experience handling complex matters, including estates involving business and farming assets, agricultural land, foreign property, and significant lifetime gifts. Her expertise includes assessing inheritance tax exemptions (such as gifts made out of surplus income), calculating taper relief, and dealing with grossing‑up calculations for inheritance tax purposes.
She also assists with the preparation of Wills, including those incorporating Life Interest Trusts, Rights of Occupation, and Discretionary Trusts. Sally provides inheritance tax planning advice and has particular experience with complex Wills involving business interests, farming assets, and agricultural land.
In addition, Sally advises on the drafting of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
Sally has further experience in the administration of Life Interest and Discretionary Trusts, including registering trusts with HMRC, preparing Deeds of Appointment for changes of trustees, and advising on the termination of trusts. She has also constituted Life Interest Trusts with the Land Registry.
