Approach
Lesley has over 20 years’ experience in licensing and gambling law. She acts for many types of operators (large and small) in licensing, gambling and entertainment matters. Clients include independent venues, large pub companies, restaurant chains, supermarkets, nightclubs, sexual entertainment venues, arcades, bingo halls, large sports clubs and social clubs. She is approachable, friendly, and reactive to client instructions.
Lesley carries out due diligence work on large scale pub group acquisitions and provides advice to asset management companies in relation to licensing law.
Lesley is also a nominated tutor and centre contact for the Award for Personal Licence Holder’s qualification.
Career Highlights
- Lesley joined a solicitors firm based in Nottingham and London in 2004 prior to the major changes to the licensing laws which were implemented in 2005
- In 2006 Lesley joined a Nottingham solicitors and worked as a senior paralegal in the licensing department and property litigation. She was promoted to an Associate in 2020.
- Lesley became a nominated tutor for the Award for Personal Licence Holders in 2020
- Lesley joined Rothera Bray as an Associate in May 2024
