This year marks the second year of the awards, which acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional talent, innovation and achievement of members, supporters and stakeholders of CILEx (the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).
We were up against only one other firm for Large Law Firm of the Year, which we nominated ourselves for on the basis of our client satisfaction levels, our commitment to the development and career progression of our employees and the pro-bono work we carry out within the local community, as well as internal initiatives that have been introduced such as our Green Campaign to encourage the implementation of more sustainable methods across the firm.
The CILEx National Awards were held on Thursday 5th September at Madame Tussauds in London and were hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The awards ceremony was attended by the firm’s Wills and Probate associate and Fellow of CILEx Rebecca Green and Rebecca Howard, a Personal Injury paralegal and CILEx member.
Rebecca Green said: “It was fantastic to attend the CILEx Awards and meet other CILEx members and find out all about their achievements. Being highly commended for Large Law Firm of the Year is such a highlight for the firm.”
Other categories at the awards included Legal Expert, Innovation and People Development, Promoting Access to the Profession and Mental Health & Wellbeing Initiative.
Kirsten Wood, partner at Rothera Bray said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole firm to be recognised by the CILEx awards.
“We are proud of the initiatives we have introduced so far in regards to CSR policy, client care and our commitment to the ongoing development of staff and are delighted that the judges of the CILEx awards have acknowledged this.”
CILEx is one of the three main professional bodies covering the legal profession in England and Wales and contains over 20,000 members made up of Chartered Legal Executives, paralegals and other legal professionals.
