This latest deal marks TC Group’s third major acquisition in March and significantly expands its presence in the Midlands, further strengthening its national footprint. All three partners along with the wider Haines Watts Tamworth team will remain with the newly rebranded firm, ensuring seamless continuity for clients.

The transaction was led by Corporate Partner David Kaplan, marking his second deal within a period of one week with TC Group. David and the same team of Liz Mills and Liam Wicks, Corporate, Catherine Angrave, Commercial Property, and Rachel Mills, Employment, previously acted on behalf of the shareholders of Haines Watts (East Midlands) Limited, Haines Watts Nottingham Limited and Haines Watts Audit EM Limited on the integration of the Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester offices with TC Group.

Darren Barlow, Partner at TC Group Tamworth, commented: “Working with David and the Rothera Bray team has been an exceptional experience. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in navigating the complexities of this merger. The team’s proactive approach and seamless coordination ensured that we achieved our desired outcome within the tight timeframe. We are thrilled with the successful completion of this strategic merger and look forward to continuing our partnership with TC Group.”

David Kaplan added: “It was a pleasure working with Darren and his fellow partners. This was our second transaction with TC Group in a period of a week, which came at a very busy period before the tax changes in the new financial year.  The target completion date was set at the outset of the transaction and all parties worked tirelessly to ensure that this deadline was met.

“TC Group are a great fit for the Haines Watts Tamworth team and the Tamworth office will continue to be a leading accountancy practice in Tamworth now with the added benefit of being part of the TC Group.  I would like to thank Mike Pearce and his team at DAC Beachcroft, who advised TC Group, for their assistance and hard work to ensure that the timetable was met.”
