David has been based for the majority of his career in Derby. He is recognised as an expert in his field and has nearly 30 years’ of experience, advising on corporate matters. His main areas of focus are general M&A, private equity and banking and finance.

David has advised and continues to advise a broad spectrum of clients including owner managed businesses, overseas entities, listed companies and multi-national conglomerates. He has a wealth of experience advising, in particular, manufacturing, IT (software and hardware), aerospace and healthcare businesses.

David is recommended by the Legal 500 as a Leading Individual.

Career Highlights

Upon qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, David joined Eversheds Sutherland initially as an assistant solicitor (now associate) and then being promoted to an associate (now senior associate)
In 2003 David joined Flint Bishop LLP as a partner and head of the Corporate Department
In 2008 David joined Keelys LLP to lead its Derby offering
In 2010 David joined Nelsons to lead its Derby Corporate team
In April 2024 David joined Rothera Bray to lead our Derby Corporate team
