Susan prides herself on being a team person with a lot of energy, and enjoys taking others on the journey that she is on with a project. She’s based on our Nottingham city centre office.

Career Highlights

  • Susan oversaw the launch of Blaise, a new veterinary referral hospital in Longbridge, Birmingham (part of IVC Evidensia). From naming the hospital, to creating the brand, Susan was part of the team designing the hospital, onboarding and internal comms to new starters, setting up all external comms and marketing channels, and creating a new website
  • Susan was in charge of the launch of the IVC Evidensia Referrals brand. Previously this was created, but not properly launched. Susan created and built a new B2B website, created the brand guidelines and tone of voice piece, launched within the referrals network (to ensure buy in from the hospitals), launched within IVC Evidensia primary care practices and within the industry at London Vet Show
  • Susan was involved in creating a press release for Scarsdale Vets about a German Shepherd that was involved in an RTA and her face had been smashed. The surgeon rebuilt her face using titanium mesh. The PR piece was shared with veterinary, national and local media outlets, and shared on the Scarsdale Vets comms channels. The result was a 10% uplift in surgery referrals to the hospital
  • In 2017 Susan won the Direct Marketing award at the VMAs (Veterinary Marketing Awards) – the award was for a printed newsletter, which was mailed out, but also given out at events, shared individual articles over social media, email and on the website. The result was a 12% increase in referrals over a 6 month period. The team, comprising of just Susan, was shortlisted against 2 major pharmaceutical companies, with large teams & budgets
  • Susan was responsible for the relaunch of the VIP Club – a pet owners loyalty scheme for Scarsdale Vets. She organised focus groups to research what pet owners wanted from the scheme, internal research from their own teams, and recommended changes to the Partners. She organised new design and logo work, and re-launched internally to staff, to existing VIP members and to non-members. The result was a 15% increase in VIP membership
  • Susan joined Rothera Bray as the Marketing Manager in June 2024
