The list highlights the vital contributions of legal professionals who dedicate their time and expertise to helping others without charge.

Senior Associate Eleanor Robinson (West Bridgford) and Solicitors Sarah Singh (West Bridgford) and Jasmin Marshall (Mapperley) from our Private Client team, along with Senior Associate Ruth Tarr (Nottingham) from our Mental Capacity and Court of Protection team, were all named on the 2025 list for completing 25 or more hours of pro bono legal support over the past year.

The Pro Bono Recognition List, now in its second year, celebrates the efforts of lawyers who offer free legal services to individuals, charities, and communities in need. This year’s list includes an impressive 4,780 barristers and solicitors across the country.

Backed by the Law Society, the Bar Council, and major pro bono organisations under the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee, the initiative sheds light on the often-unseen work of legal professionals who support access to justice beyond the legal aid system.

Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill, and patron of the list, commented:

“I am delighted to welcome the publication of the 2025 Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales. I am pleased to recognise and thank all those solicitors, barristers, chartered legal executives and registered foreign or European lawyers who have undertaken 25 hours or more of pro bono work over the last year.”

“The judiciary sees first-hand the importance of pro bono advice and representation in assisting those who might not otherwise receive legal assistance. I hope that recognition on the List encourages the legal profession to continue its commitment to providing pro bono help to those in need.”

We are proud of our colleagues’ commitment to making a positive difference. Their recognition on this list reflects not only their professional excellence but also their dedication to justice and community service.
