The day consisted of attendees playing a 18-hole Texas Scramble competition in a 4-ball format on The Seely course, along with a pie and chips dinner before a presentation where golf prizes were handed out, including prizes for best golfer, closest to the pin, and longest drive.
A raffle was also held with prizes including a Fortnum and Mason hamper donated by Digital Space, a bottle of champagne donated by Weavers, a voucher for Ramsdale Golf Centre, a two-course meal and glass of wine for two donated by Gusto Nottingham, and two one-hour golf sessions at Derby Golf Centre donated by Nigel Bratton of Tramlink.
Framework is a Nottingham based charity which empowers people to become independent and achieve stable housing and health, social inclusion, and financial stability. The money raised from the golf day will be used to support their Building Better Futures campaign, giving those in need their own place to live and a bespoke package of support care and treatment.
Andy Shields, Projects and Partnerships Manager at Framework said:
“Massive thanks to everyone at Rothera Bray for such a well organised and enjoyable fundraising event. Thanks also to all the sponsors and the golfers who took part. If everyone present enjoyed themselves half as much as our team, then everyone’s a winner.
“The support that Framework receives from businesses, community groups and individuals makes a massive difference to the support we can give to people in desperate need and is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a wonderful day and to everyone involved for an outstanding donation to support our work.”
Christina Yardley, CEO at Rothera Bray said:
“We are delighted to have raised a fantastic sum of money for Framework, it was a fun day for everyone involved and were keen to make it an annual event. We admire the work Framework do and we are extremely proud to be able to support their charitable objectives.”
Thank you to all those who attended and donated, and a big thank you to Ramsdale Golf Centre, Digital Space, Weavers, Gusto Nottingham and Nigel Bratton for their generous donations towards our raffle prizes.
