We’re excited to announce that we are opening up our Trainee Solicitor assessment process for 2026 applicants.
Have you got what it takes to train to be a solicitor at Rothera Bray? Are you looking to work towards becoming an integral part of a progressive firm providing excellent client service and becoming a future expert in your chosen field?
At Rothera Bray we understand that our people are the key to the success of our business so we’re looking for commercially aware, energetic and passionate individuals to train as solicitors with us.
Train to be a solicitor
Ideally you will:
- have a minimum 2.1 degree in Law (or Law conversion) and be studying or have completed the LPC or alternatively passed SQE1 and studying for or have passed SQE2
- possess exceptional communication skills
- be friendly and approachable
- be extremely well organised and demonstrate initiative
- be a team-player
- have strong IT skills
- be self-motivated and keen to learn
- be able to think creatively to find solutions

Your training and development at Rothera Bray

- You’ll be fully supported by designated mentors during your 2 year period of training and given feedback on your performance through regular development reviews
- You’ll have the opportunity to have training seats in a wide variety of specialist departments
- We’ll encourage you to maximise your potential and develop new skills and give you the opportunity to explore your ideas
- You’ll receive hands on practical experience working closely with Partners, Fee earners and Paralegals in our offices across Nottingham, Derby and Leicestershire
- You’ll also be encouraged to get involved with business development opportunities
