Leonard Cheshire, a leading UK charity supporting disabled people since 1948, has been a major provider of social care services across the country. The sale of Eithinog, its final service in Wales, will enable the charity to reinvest in modernising its remaining services and expanding its impact.
Grosvenor Care brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care. The team is focused on fostering trusted relationships with residents, families and staff, ensuring continuity of care and enhancing the wellbeing of every individual.
The transaction was led by Rothera Bray’s Corporate Partner David Kaplan, supported by Senior Associate Liz Mills and Commercial Property Partner Catherine Angrave.
Nicola Clough, Project Director at Grosvenor Care, commented:
“We are pleased to have worked with David Kaplan and Liz Mills at Rothera Bray on the successful purchase of the Eithinog Nursing Home. Their proactive, thorough, and highly professional approach ensured a smooth and efficient transaction from start to finish. Their expertise and attention to detail gave us confidence throughout the process, and we truly valued their clear communication and commitment to achieving the best outcome.”
Ruth Owen, CEO of Leonard Cheshire, added:
“This sale ends our provision in Wales, but it’s the start of an exciting new chapter for Eithinog. In taking the decision to sell these services it was important to us that residents would continue to receive support from staff they knew well.
“We are pleased this has been achieved and are confident Eithinog has a bright future under its new ownership.”
David Kaplan said:
“It was a pleasure to work with the extremely professional team at Grosvenor Care. I have no doubt that Eithinog will flourish under their control.”
Leonard Cheshire were advised by Bevan Brittan.
