“We have recently completed a house sale and have nothing but praise for the way that Johanna Goddard has handled the conveyancing. Everything has been done in a timely and friendly manner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rothera Bray.”Valerie
“I had an excellent experience working with Jo and the team at Rothera Bray throughout my first home purchase. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They explained every step of the process clearly, which was especially helpful as a first-time buyer. The team was prompt in responding to my questions and kept me updated regularly, ensuring I felt informed and reassured. They handled the legal paperwork efficiently and smoothly, making what could have been a stressful process much more manageable. Overall, I highly recommend Rothera Bray Solicitors to anyone looking for reliable and friendly legal support when purchasing a home. Their expertise and dedication made my first home purchase a positive experience.”First Time Buyer

“Last year we decided to downsize from a three bed semi with a large garden to a two bed apartment with a tiny garden. We had been in our previous house for 35 years; both our daughters grew up there.Due to illness the garden had become completely overgrown and the house had boxes that “needed sorting” all over ( am am neurodivergent ). The move was a good thing but because of the time we were there it was hard.We were offered online solicitors by the Estate Agent but I wanted a “bricks and mortar” Nottingham based Solicitor. From the initial phonecall we were made to feel valued customers. Johanna Goddard was our solicitor with her team. As it is a leasehold property it seemed like everyone wanted a say in the lease which delayed things. I finally asked if we could move on the 12th December. Johanna and her team made it work and we moved on the 12th of December 2024.Couldn’t have done it without them. I’ve said we are never moving again but I would say : don’t go online for an important thing like buying a house; choose real people that you can go and see, you can’t do much better than Rothera Bray ( ask if you can have Johanna handle your sale )Sorry to Johanna’s team but I can’t remember your names - I should have written them down at the time but you were great too.”Paul Storer
“Very knowledgeable and patient help from Jo & co in purchasing my first home, explained the process and were always available to answer calls/emails.”G Leatham

“Hassle free, smooth and clear experience thanks to Johanna Goddard.”Esther
“Moved house in Feb this year, having started the process in October 2023. I've moved house 3 times now, using a different solicitor each time as I'd never found one I felt very impressed with. When using the previous 2 solicitors for house moves, I always felt like I had to constantly chase, which made what was already a stressful process even more stressful. Jo Goddard at Rothera Bray was pleasantly different by comparison. She kept me up to date throughout, she showed empathy when we had some challenging times and I just generally felt she wanted to do the best for us. I don't plan on moving again, but if we ever were to, I would definitely consider Rothera Bray again”A Green
“We used Rothera Bray for the purchase of our home and the sale of a property, and we are so pleased we went with them for both. Jo and Samantha were really great, they handled everything in a timely matter and kept us updated every step of the way. We would definitely recommend Rothera Bray to anyone looking for a conveyancing solicitor.”G Hill
“Johanna is such a great Solicitor! She looks after you 100%. She has GREAT communication (no matter how complex the situation is)! I loved the entire experience and have already passed her details on. Thank you so much!!”Chris
“Johanna, Samantha and Melissa were exceptional in the work they did for us when we sold our holiday cottage. There were a few extra issues to deal with and they did so professionally and very competently. Always approachable and available to give advice or clarify issues for us - even though we were abroad in Australia for 2 months during the whole process. We have used Rothera Bray several times previously and would recommend them to anyone.”Margaret
“We recently bought and sold a house through Rothera Bray. There were some major setbacks and issues, but Jo Goddard helped us through them all and kept pushing things forward. And it was incredible value for money considering how much she had to do! I could not recommend Jo and Rothera Bray highly enough. Thank you”Toby Wells

Recent reports have reignited debate over whether a public inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s activities in the UK should take place, following apparently conflicting messages from the Government on the issue. The developments have prompted renewed calls for transparency, accountability and answers for survivors.

Many employees reach a point where the working relationship has broken down and staying feels impossible. In the right circumstances, you may be able to ask for a settlement agreement and negotiate a clean exit.

Being sacked by text message can feel shocking, humiliating, and unfair. Especially if it happens without warning or explanation. You might even question whether dismissal by SMS is lawful.

For many farming families, a divorce doesn’t just mark the end of a marriage. It can have significant implications for a business that may have taken decades, or even generations, to build.
