Rachel Mills is a Managing Associate in Rothera Bray’s Employment Law department and is based at our Derby office.

Rachel adopts a pragmatic and commercially focused approach, prioritising her clients’ needs and guiding them toward effective resolutions whenever possible. When litigation is necessary, Rachel takes a strong and strategic stance. She tailors her communication to each client’s preferences: listening is a key focus for her to ascertain what the client wants and she likes to build strong relationships to provide proactive and responsive support throughout their case.
Since qualifying in 2001, Rachel has been based in the East Midlands and has exclusively specialised in Employment Law.
- Between 2008 and 2014, Rachel worked as a Solicitor at a Derby-based firm, which was later acquired by a national law firm in 2014.
- In 2019 Rachel was promoted to Senior Associate at the national law firm above.
- In 2024 Rachel joined an East Midlands based law firm as a Legal Director.
- In March 2025, Rachel joined Rothera Bray as a Managing Associate in the Employment Law team.

Qualifications
- Rachel completed a Law degree at the University of Leicester, graduating in 1997
- Rachel completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School in 1999

- Rachel is a member of Employment Lawyers Association.
- Rachel is also on the board of directors for the Erewash Partnership.
