Lucy Walsh is a Managing Associate in the Residential Conveyancing team and is based primarily at our Derby office.

Lucy provides a down to earth approach which she adapts to suit each client, whether they are a first-time buyer or  an experienced buyer.

Lucy has a wide range of experience in conveyancing, and explains the legal maze in a way that is clear and easy to understand. Lucy has a lot of local knowledge about the area, having been born and raised in Derby.

  • Lucy joined J H Powell & Co as a trainee in 2000 and became a Partner in 2013
  • Lucy joined Rothera Bray in October 2022 when the firm acquired its Derby office

Qualifications

  • Lucy studied Law and Criminology at the University of Sheffield and graduated with honours in 1999
  • In 2000 Lucy was awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, also from the University of Sheffield
  • Lucy commenced her training contract JH Powell & Co in 2000, which included seats in wills and probate, court of protection commercial property and residential conveyancing, and qualified in 2002
  • Lucy joined Rothera Bray as a Senior Associate in 2024
  • She was promoted to Managing Associate at Rothera Bray in 2025

The best experience I have ever had with solicitors. Superb from start to finish, kept me updated throughout regarding the sale of my home, were always there when I rang and really had my interests at heart.
