Ed Postlethwaite is a Managing Associate in Rothera Bray’s Commercial Property team and is based at our Derby office.

Ed is an experienced commercial property practitioner who supports clients across a broad range of property matters. His work covers sales and purchases, leasing arrangements, property management issues, and property finance transactions. With a clear understanding of the commercial landscape, Ed provides practical, solutions-focused advice tailored to each client’s objectives.

Committed to making the legal process as straightforward as possible, Ed takes pride in explaining complex matters in plain language and avoiding unnecessary legal jargon. His approach is proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on identifying and mitigating risk at every stage. By combining technical expertise with a client-friendly style, Ed ensures transactions progress smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.

  • Ed qualified as a solicitor with a West Midlands-based firm in 2006, where he remained through a series of subsequent mergers until December 2019
  • From 2020 to 2024, Ed served as Head of Commercial Property (Midlands) at a national law firm
  • Ed held the position of Director & Solicitor at a Nottingham-based firm between 2024 and 2026
  • Ed joined Rothera Bray as a Managing Associate in the Commercial Property team in June 2026

  • Between 2002 and 2004 Ed attended the College of Law where he completed his LPC
