Jack English is a Solicitor in Rothera Bray’s Divorce and Family Law team and is based at our Beeston office but also covers Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

Jack takes a friendly and compassionate approach, striving to achieve the best possible outcome for each client based on their individual needs. He focuses on delivering clear, practical advice while ensuring clients feel supported throughout the process.

Highly efficient and organised, Jack is committed to providing the highest level of service. His approachable and empathetic nature helps build strong client relationships, enabling him to offer tailored guidance that meets each client’s unique circumstances.

Favouring a constructive and non-confrontational approach, Jack works with clients to explore amicable solutions wherever appropriate, including alternative dispute resolution methods. However, he is also experienced in representing and supporting clients through court proceedings when required, ensuring robust advocacy and guidance at every stage.

  • Jack joined a Nottingham-based law firm in 2019 as a Paralegal.
  • In 2021 he started his training contact with the same firm, following its acquisition by a national law firm, qualifying in April 2023
  • In July 2024 Jack moved to another Nottingham-based law firm with two colleagues as part of an established team to set up a successful Family Department
  • Jack joined Rothera Bray LLP in January 2026 to continue building and strengthening the Family Department at the Beeston office

  • Jack completed his LLB (Hons) Law degree at Nottingham Law School, graduating in 2018
  • Between 2018 and 2019 Jack completed the LLM Legal Practice Course, also at Nottingham Law School

  • Jack received the Family Law Group Internship Prize for achieving one of the highest grades in the Family and Child Protection elective on the LPC
