Ruth is a Senior Associate in Rothera Bray’s Mental Capacity and Court of Protection team. She is based at our Lace Market office in the heart of Nottingham city centre.

Approach

Ruth is a specialist Court of Protection solicitor and has extensive experience of acting as professional deputy in high value complex cases.

Ruth has spent the entirety of her career acting for vulnerable individuals, primarily representing adults and children with acquired brain injuries who lack capacity following personal injury or medical negligence. Ruth also acts for elderly clients and individuals with learning difficulties and mental health issues.

Ruth provides a professional and compassionate approach at what can be an overwhelming and emotional time for her clients. Ruth is happy to conduct home visits and will always tailor her approach to her client’s needs.

Career Highlights

  • Ruth previously worked within a specialist Court of Protection department at a national law firm for ten years. Ruth joined this firm as a Legal Assistant in 2012 before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015, and then as a Solicitor in 2017.
  • Ruth joined Rothera Bray as a Senior Associate in August 2022
