“I would like to thank Rothera and Bray Solicitors for all their hard work in representing me in my successful Personal Injury Claim. Their communication and advice was excellent and filled me with confidence throughout my case. On a more personal level I would like to give special thanks to Mr. Ian Johnson and Ms. Swati Kotecha with whom I had most contact with who both were very friendly and professional and made the whole experience as simple as possible. Thank you again.”Ron Foster

Ian Johnson and his excellent team provided all the necessary support in a most caring and efficient way. Full and detailed explanations with readily available communication was available throughout. “The best thing about Ian was that he was realistic all the way through my case and I really appreciated him not sugar coating any of his answers. I’ve chosen to stay in touch with him and would like to show him how well I’ve developed since I last saw him, because it’s down to him and the other specialists he put me in touch with, that I’ve gotten this far already.”Mr Mistry
“Ian not only explained everything in really simple terms, but when required was able to explain the more complex parts of the process. Because Ian had suffered his own head injury, I really got the sense that he knew exactly what I was going through and that he was fighting my corner.”Mr Dewar
“I have used Mr Johnson on a few occasions and I will always use him on any other occasion. I have found him to be excellent in his working conduct and to be very thorough in the way he acts during all of his cases.”Mr Barratt
“All the way through my case Ian was very informative and I really liked that I stayed with the same solicitor, without having to speak to anyone else and explain things again. ”Jane Hood

There has finally been a breakthrough in the deadlock surrounding the Government’s Employment Rights Bill (“ERB”), which has been the subject of significant back-and-forth between the House of Commons and the House of Lords in recent weeks. In particular, there has been much debate around the qualifying period for unfair dismissal claims but it now appears that a compromise has been reached to enable the ERB to pass without further undue delay.

The 2025 Autumn Budget has brought real changes for property owners, landlords, and families – but not the sweeping tax overhaul that many expected. While chancellor Rachel Reeves left stamp duty unchanged, she declared a new annual ‘council-tax-style’ surcharge for £2m+ homes, higher income tax on rents from 2027, and incremental updates to capital gains tax (CGT) and inheritance tax (IHT).

We’re delighted that nine of our talented trainees and chartered legal executives have officially qualified as solicitors and are continuing their legal careers with us here.
