Can I Make a No Win No Fee Personal Injury Claim?
A ‘no win, no fee’ claim is also known as a conditional fee agreement. This type of agreement reduces the risk to you because there are no fees to pay upfront and if your case is not successful, you do not have to pay any legal fees, as long as you have co-operated with us and have not misled us. As a result, you can focus on your recovery, without worrying about legal fees.
If we can act on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis and your case is successful, you will pay a contribution towards your legal fees. You will pay what is called a success fee. This is based on a 100% uplift on your basic legal costs, capped at 25% of the value of your claim for pain and suffering and past losses. We cannot say exactly how much the success fee will be, as this depends on the final value of your claim and how much work is involved in your case. However, please rest assured that the success fee cannot be any more than 25% of your compensation. If you lose your claim, then of course you do not pay a success fee.
Whilst acting on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis, we may, either at the outset, or, as your case progresses, advise you to instruct us to put in place a policy of After The Event Insurance (ATEI). This policy will protect you from paying any of your own disbursements, such as medical report fees and court fees and any costs incurred by the other party, if you lose your claim. If you win your claim, this ATEI premium is deducted from your damages. If you lose your claim, you do not pay the premium.
In most circumstances, we act on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis. If your claim cannot be dealt with on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis, we will let you know before the claims process starts. Alternative funding options are sometimes available, such as Trade Union Membership and Legal Expenses Insurance, which is often included on household insurance policies.

This has been one of the most horrible years of my life, and going through a divorce is not something I would wish on anyone. But if you do have to go through it, it makes a huge difference knowing that you have a supportive lawyer to work with and that was definitely my experience of working with Sarah Gill. What really stood out for me was how well Sarah listened and heard me...She was also excellent at explaining the key background areas of law I needed to understand as I went into mediation. More than anything, Sarah’s way of working felt like a genuine partnership. I know this might sound cheesy, but it truly felt like she had my back. That support meant I could make informed decisions about my future during an incredibly difficult time. I honestly cannot thank you enough, Sarah, for all your help. I would highly recommend reaching out to her if you are looking for a solicitor who is supportive, compassionate, and highly responsive.

We hadn’t moved home in over 12 years, and the process has changed significantly in that time. What could easily have become overwhelming was made completely manageable thanks to Julekha and her outstanding team. From the very first conversation, nothing was ever too much trouble. Every question no matter how small was answered clearly and patiently, and I could always rely on Julekha to come back to me the very same day. Her communication, attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism gave us total confidence at every stage....I cannot recommend Julekha highly enough. If you want a solicitor who is proactive, responsive, and truly committed to getting things done right, look no further. They were exceptional, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they did for us.

I’m glad I had Emily guide me through all the way through what has been the hardest part of my life, been around 3 years and today I got the decision I never thought I’d get. Again props to Emily for guiding and road mapping what has been a difficult time. Sorting out court dates, prepping for court, offering support and advice. It couldn’t of been done without you Emily so we as a family will be forever grateful.

Breakthrough on Government’s Employment Rights Bill: what employers need to know about unfair dismissal
There has finally been a breakthrough in the deadlock surrounding the Government’s Employment Rights Bill (“ERB”), which has been the subject of significant back-and-forth between the House of Commons and the House of Lords in recent weeks. In particular, there has been much debate around the qualifying period for unfair dismissal claims but it now appears that a compromise has been reached to enable the ERB to pass without further undue delay.

2025 Autumn Budget: what could it mean for you?
The 2025 Autumn Budget has brought real changes for property owners, landlords, and families – but not the sweeping tax overhaul that many expected. While chancellor Rachel Reeves left stamp duty unchanged, she declared a new annual ‘council-tax-style’ surcharge for £2m+ homes, higher income tax on rents from 2027, and incremental updates to capital gains tax (CGT) and inheritance tax (IHT).
